There have been so many times I’ve seen Moms putting a blanket over their baby's stroller to shade them from the sun. It’s too hot for that, I’m thinking to myself. Apparently I’m not alone. “Even the thinnest of stroller covers can reduce the air circulation and raise the temperature inside the stroller to dangerous levels, a pediatrician in Stockholm, Sweden, has warned.” “There’s also the issue of not being able to see your baby, said Dr. Sarah Adams, a pediatrician at Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio.” in an excellent article in Today.com.
"It gets extremely hot down in the pram, something like a thermos,” Svante Norgren told the Svenska Dagbladet, a Swedish newspaper. “The newspaper tested that theory, leaving an empty stroller in the sun on a hot day. Without any coverings, the temperature inside reached about 71 degrees. With a thin cover, it soared to 93 degrees within 30 minutes. After an hour, it reached almost 99 degrees.”
