What does a baby computer call his father?...Data!
On the heels of our last post about the best sunscreens; I found a site of the worst sunscreens! Of course for little ones younger than 6 mos. old, physical protectors work best (& “Sweet Baby Shade”). But for children older than 6 mos., “the sunscreens that perform well in Environmental Working Group’s (EWG) Guide to Sunscreens, are mineral-based products with zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide”, says Monica Amarelo, and Paul Pestano, of EWG. “Parents need to be mindful that certain ingredients could pose safety concerns, including retinyl palmitate, a form of vitamin A that is linked to sun sensitivity, and oxybenzone, a hormone disrupter.”
